NHI celebrates run up to NHI Decision Day on Instagram
If you’ve checked out NHI’s Instagram account lately, you know that there’s been a lot of activity around NHI Decision Day. The NHI holiday, typically on the first Friday of May, is an opportunity for NHI alumni who are graduating from high school to make their college choices known.
The #NHIDecisionDay hashtag on Instagram and, in past years and to a lesser degree, on Twitter, has allowed NHI students to take to social media to express their new school pride—while realizing that college is only a portion of their overall leadership journey.
This year, because of the pandemic and the extensions that many colleges granted to students, we’ve pushed this year’s NHI Decision Day to the first Friday in June — this coming Friday, June 5 — though NHI itself will be sharing student stories well beyond Friday, and encourage NHI alumni to do the same.
“As a former CWS coach, and as a recent, official addition to the NHI team, I just want to share how impressed and proud I am of our graduating NHIers,” said Alma Raymer, Associate Director for Enrollment & Institutional Relations. “They have demonstrated perseverance and grit at the end of their high school experience that they didn’t anticipate would be necessary. I have been honored to work alongside them and share their accomplishments and plans for the future. I can’t wait to see where their futures will take them!”
